This event is for runners of all levels

  • You’re new to running and want a welcoming place to start

  • You’re currently running and want to check your fitness

  • You want to train with intention instead of guessing

  • You’re curious how your mile translates to a 5K, 10K, half, or marathon

  • You want expert guidance without pressure or ego

    This is not a race and not a run club, it’s a structured fitness test designed to meet you where you are.


What will happen

  • A guided warm-up led by a running coach

  • A warm-up jog to preview the mile route

  • A self-paced one-mile fitness test

  • Optional walk/run for those who need it

  • Clear guidance on how to use your mile to set training goals

    We start and finish indoors, with restrooms available on the first and second floors.

I coach runners across all levels, from people running their first mile to athletes training for the NYC Marathon. My approach is rooted in proven training principles, consistency, and injury prevention.

The First Mile is about giving you a clear starting point so you can train smarter for whatever goal you care about this year.
